I can work with that!

If anyone has ever checked out The Cutest Blog on the Block, you'd quickly see that they have some REALLY talented people and some really cute designs. Just last week, I realized I was pretty darned sick of the same old design I'd been lugging around for months (while waiting for my computer to get fixed so I could design something new!) so I went to TCBOB for a quick fix.

To my delight, I realized they had some new stuff! (Well duh!) I added a really cool background, and then I found a matching header! Yesss! But of course the header had to get some personalization, so I added photos, text and some border and here is my end result!

See it in action (possibly for a limited time) HERE

Do you like TCBOB designs but can't figure out how to personalize it? I can help. Hit me up.

Let's play!

It's been a loooong time since I've posted anything new here (broken computer, missing photo/graphics program and the fact that life just happens), but I'm feeling the creative itch again. I'm pretty sure it's the feeling of Spring in the air! Yay for sunshine! This time, I'm tackling a new-to-me thing: Twitter Backgrounds! I'm also using a  new-to-me program that I'm still getting used to so be prepared to see better stuff later :)

I welcome questions, comments and the occasional request as time allows.

Flower Power

Ohhhh yeah.
Oh yesssss.... I love taking photos of flowers, but by golly they even look BETTER on a blog button, dontcha think? These flowers aren't mine - but one of these days maybe I'll take my own and cut them out with scissors. haha!
On another topic, Purple Moose won the Friday Freebie giveaway! She'll be sporting a new button or custom designed signature by the end of the week! Thanks to all who played along. Can't wait to do it again!

Sit Down Dana!

The title of this post is specifically directed to a very cool member of my fabulous fan club. (I don't have a fan club, I just wish I did). I have a feeling she might get excited about this one. I got to spend the day designing my wonderful daughter's blog. She's been waiting for a long LONG time for me to follow through on this. Also, the girl has got a knack for design. She agrees with everything I say! LOL Her blog is private, but if you'd like to be a reader of hers just ask - she'd love to follow your blog and increase the size of HER fan club as well - plus, her blog just looks so daggum cute! The Secret is Out

It's Friday Freebie Day!

Oh yeah, you found me... are you excited?? The big secret this week? My good pal Heidi from Sacred & Profane is hosting a FRIDAY FREEBIE and get this - I AM THE FREEBIE! Now I won't be shipping my sassy self to you no matter how much you beg, but I will be making a snazzy new button or custom signature to the contestant who schmoozes the most. Or uh... I mean it's a random entry, but you get four chances, so come ON people - head over to her blog to read the fine print and enter! Take one of my buttons with you, and while you're at it, take Heidi's too. It needs to get more exercise.

(And since I'm all about teaching people new things, if you've never swiped a button before - the way you do it is just copy and paste the code in the drop down box below the button, and place it ever so carefully in a newly designated sidebar gadget specifically for HTML! Hope that helped, and if'n you ever need more help with newbie type stuff, look me up. I'll help ya. It's how I roll yo! *spoken like a true Heidi reader*)

Smattering of Signatures

Every blog needs a little personality - a little YOU. And what says YOU more than your own name?? Now I realize I'm a little stuck on my own name here, after all I've had it for over 35 years now and since I've finally learned how to spell it, so I've just used it as an example on all my signature tags.

Which one do YOU like best? If you enter Heidi's Friday Freebie this week, you could get one completely guilt free! If you enter... and win, that is.
Fine Print: Signature tags are available as you see them (with YOUR name of course) or Text only. I always recommend BLACK for your signature color - but will always take special color requests. If you want a custom installation on blogspot - it will cost ya. Seriously, it's time consuming.

Time out

I've gotten a few requests recently for BUTTONS! They are my fave - small, fun and easy to digest. Well... nevermind about that last one. Just know that if you've contacted me, I haven't forgotten you. I promise. My daughter goes in to the hospital in the morning for a procedure, and I am paying lots of attention to her lately. She's a bit anxious. PLEASE don't hesitate to contact me and I will make sure your name goes next in line! But don't wait too long, the way Heidi is talkin' things up I will be famous by next Tuesday. Sheesh, I hope not - I have an appointment that day. Actually it's Spring Break! And while my kids are cleaning their rooms, I'll be playin right here. Well - thanks again for your patience. I'll be back soon with some really FUN FUN premade stuff that you can add text to by yourself if you're a DIY kinda blogger, or I can give you a little help to make it just so. Thanks for all the support recently. And - have a thankful Thursday!

Sometimes I just do

There are many moments in a creative person's mind that something comes to them and it just has to be done. Sometimes other people know that the creative person has a little interest in a certain craft, so they come to them and ask for a favor... and they can't say no. Because it was already something they were going to do anyway. I love moments like that. And I love being that person that gets asked. I also enjoy the curious tug at my heart... because I know it's not the other person asking me the favor, it's God prompting me to do something. He's just using them as an instrument. After all, he gave me my gifts, they are His to use as he sees fit.
I have a soft spot in my heart for sick children. I also have a spot in there for families with sick Daddies and Mommies. I want to share a couple of buttons that were made for two different families recently. I have a few more in the works, but I can't be quick on stuff like this. I'll post them as I finish.
Beautiful little Gracie got a "praying for" button while she was still here, and this button was made as I was made aware that her family was preparing to let her go. Please pray for her family - their story is so touching.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Bagenski Family has a sick Daddy... do me a favor and stop right now and pray that he will make a full and complete recovery from his Leukemia.
ALL Prayer and Memory buttons are available with my compliments... all I ask is that everytime you see one, you say a prayer.
Thank you - and God bless!
